Data import from Insightly

The instructions provided in Copper leave much to be desired. Is there a straightford method of importing Insightly data into Copper that makes sure that Notes associated with contacts and companies are not lost?  Any “gotchas” that users have experienced that I would need to be aware of? Thanks! Stan

Using a different SMTP server

Hi,We are using Office 365 at the moment. Is there a way to use Office 365 SMTP server to send email? We like the CRM but I don’t seem to be able to find settings to change SMTP server.

Syncing with e-mail rhythm software

Hi, first time user of this community.   We filter leads and upload them into our e-mail rhythm software often and suddenly hit a glitch on Friday where we get a message on Copper that we are not logged in to the software (Persist), which we are.   We have done a lot of troubleshooting and can’t resolve this problem.   Any suggestions?

API broken: Search Entities on Custom Text fields

We use Integromat to build mission critical integrations with Copper.For some years now we have had a mission critical Integromat scenario which uses the Copper API to return Opportunities which have particular values in a couple of custom fields (of type ‘text’).As of ~May 1st the Copper API started returning errors for queries on custom fields (of type text) where previously these were executed successfully. Time zones and the API

The copper api uses Unix Epoch times (seconds snice 1970).Weird, but ok. It really should use rfc 3339 (iso 8601). But, since it doesn’t, it leads to this problem…it uses unix epoch with respect to some timezone. And this is making integration complex. If its going to be in epoch, it really needs to be in UTC.. How can i know what timezone it is with respect to now? there  is no api call to figure that out. and, which sub-timezone. etc.  Is this global to the copper world? to a specific customer?to an object or lead? so for example, when i ceate activity events, they end up in the future since i want to supply UTC. but if i can’t, then i need to know the DST/STD settings as well as the utc offset of the copper server.

Hello,I rally want to transfer my customer information, orders, and data from Shopify to copper using Zappier integration.I keep having problems with client profiles not being transferred., only email integration have worked,  and I need my client data to be integrated to create leads.

Spotipo vs Webhooks integration

We’re trying to capture leads from guests who sign into our public wifi network. The captive portal we’re using, Spotipo, doesn’t integrate directly with Copper. We were thinking of using webhooks and Zapier. Has anyone else used Spotipo or successfully done this before with another captive portal?

Integration for Coda.io

Hi there - any other Coda users here in Copper land?I use both platforms extensively and am currently developing an integration between the two. It will live as a Coda “Pack” (like a plug-in) that will let you work with your Copper records in Coda and extend Copper’s functionality.If you’re unfamiliar with Coda, it’s a really awesome document platform that also lets you build app-like features. Think Airtable/Monday.com/etc - an easy-to-use database system with the ability to spin up great UIs in minutes.It’s not quite ready for public release yet, but if anyone is interested in taking it for a spin and giving me feedback, let me know and I can invite you to the beta!

Aircall + Copper

I’m kicking the tires on the Aircall + Copper integration and have a question.Everything in Copper says that when you get an Aircall call, the Copper details will pop up. But, will the call details sync the other way, too? EG - will the notes that I take or tags that I apply in Aircall go to Copper? Only future ones or can I import past notes? Or none of the above?I’m also not married to Aircall, so I’m just trying to figure out what is the best VOIP solution that will also play nice with Copper’s gmail integration. (Aircall was much more user friendly than RingCentral IMO). I’m all ears for any recommendations from these Copper Pros. Thanks for any help!

API: Primary Email

In the Copper UI if you go to /contacts/default (People view), you can show a column for “email”. In API responses, emails are listed as an array of email objects (each with an email address and a type).How does Copper determine which email to select and display in the email column? How does it choose which email is to be considered primary? type=work? Email domain = company’s email domain? another metric?I’d like to select an email to feature as primary in my app, and since the API doesn’t indicate which to choose, I’d like to try to match their process as closely as I can.

Zapier Playbook: Create messages in Slack Channels based on Pipeline - further customization

Hi, I just tested out using the Zapier integration to create messages in Slack when we win an Opportunity in Copper and it’s awesome! I have a further question, how do I further customize it? Within a pipeline, I want to alert  certain people when an opportunity is won based on when a specific custom field is selected, is this possible?

New product update - what does it mean?

Hi This popped up when I logged on ……… The updates are usually extremely helpful ,  but im not sure in which circumstances you might use this . Can anyone help ? Any eligible endpoint that returns custom fields can now also return with their corresponding text values, using a new optional parameter Thanks  Alan

Does linking a Dropbox file use additional data/memory?

I want to add google form that we download to Dropbox to Copper lead profiles. Will linking the file to Copper use additional data/memory on my computer? Also, is there a way to link the google form response directly to the lead profile instead of uploading from Dropbox.

Fetch an Activity by ID API endpoint

I have successfully obtained email activity via the Fetch an Activity by ID API endpoint. However, the Details element in the API response only contains the email activity subject content and other email header info e.g {"emails_details"=>{"sender"=>{"name"=>"xxxxxxxxxx", "email"=>"xxxxxxx@rochester.rr.com"}, "recipients"=>[{"email"=>"xxxxxxxxx@thecranerealtygroup.com"}], "subject"=>"Email Question", "id"=>313147071}, "emails_date"=>1521594115}Where do I access the body content of the email activity?

Managing Duplicates with Zapier?

Hi, We just stared using Zapier to help with importing leads that we manage in Mailchimp into copper, and updating the leads/person records without creating duplicates or overwriting data… I think it should be possible to also manage duplicates somehow, but the question is how? I am new to Zapier, so I am not sure what the best way to do that is, any thoughts?

Getting error in Zap run with Error Code 422

Hi there I’ve been extending Copper functionality extensively with Zapier. It generally works well. However, this error keeps popping up every now and then and I would like to be able to solve it. I need help. A particular Zap is erroring every now and then for no apparent reason, the action in question is a simple “Update Person by ID” step.

LeadJet API key - can regular Copper users generate API key?

I am trying to connect all of my company’s users of Copper to LeadJet, but unless they are an admin I can’t create an API key. Can standard users be given the ability to create one or two API keys for things like LeadJet without making them an Admin?

Is it possible to mention in a note via the API and also trigger an email notification?

When I tried to mention a Copper user in a Note/Activity description with a JSON body like the following:{ "parent": { "type": "opportunity", "id": 1234567 }, "type": { "category": "user", "id": 0 }, "details": "@⸨10:12345:Tom Jones⸩ This is a description"}The note appears as if the user was mentioned (i.e. username starting with “@” and in bold characters) but the actual email notification is never sent to the mentioned user. While when trying to mention the same user through the UI (by typing “@” and selecting the username) the notification is sent via email to the mentioned user.

API Errors Messages and Codes

I was wondering if you have a table more explained about error codes and messages that the Copper API returns, because I’ve been receiving errors from our users such as “Developer API is not enabled for this account”, “Account is expired”, “Owner not found”.I just wanted a table like that https://developer.copper.com/introduction/responses.html but more detailed, is it possible?

copper connection with wordpress (woocommerce)

Hi, I would like to know how to connect Copper with my woocommerce site and at the same time the elementor forms from wordpress. I need my purchase data from woocommerce and all about the e-commerce behavior from my users. I need to have the leads from elementor forms to see the users who are interested.All of this it is important for me, i want to see all in Copper. What can I do ? what is the best plugin ?
