Does Projects object has a limit of counts?

Projects API requst - https://developer.copper.com/projects/list-projects-search.html, has a limit of 100_000 records that it could return without any errorsPlease note that search requests are limited to returning only the first 100,000 records regardless of the pagination parameters. If your search filter matches more than 100,000 records, we recommend modifying your search filter to separate your result set.it’s not a reliable system, so I am wondering if there some limit of Projects objects count on Copper, e.g. if there is a limit of 20_000 Projects records then it’s ok to use request that returns a maximum of 100_000 records

Copper API Activities vs Interaction Count

Good evening. I am doing some work with the Copper API, trying to extract data to allow us to show the interactions related to each Person and Opportunity over time. This is the data that is accessed via the Activities endpoint. The main problem I am having is that when I query “all activities related to a person” the number of items returned is a lot lower than the number of interactions reported against that person in Copper. Has somebody come across this before? I am wondering whether it is a permissions issue and the interactions (mainly emails) are not being reported correctly. Thanks! Andrew

Missing user Ids in activities

I have a couple of activities in which user_id is null and this value should be populated with our user. Activitiy Id 9642214064, could someone help me?This action was a mail from one of our users to an external client. New Mailchimp integration not syncing

Is anyone else having issues with the initial sync not working? Once I enter our API key, I just get the spinning wheel of death that says “will be with you in just a moment”Would love help figuring this out!

Mailchimp Integration - tags and use cases

Hi Community! I received these two questions about our new Mailchimp integration. I want to make sure the answers are accessible to everybody so I’m posting them here. #1:How can I add a tag as a rule in Copper/MailChimp integration. Ex. I want anyone with the category or tag franchiselead to get tagged in MailChimp with that that same name. So I would like them to be synced to the MASTER MAILCHIMP LIST (if not in there already) and add a tag to their account. Let me know if that's possible. #2:Can you also let me know most common way people use this integration Answers coming up in my next comment :)

Merge data with form fields to Word or GoogleDocs?

Hello! Can I create templates in Word or GoogleDocs with merge fields from Copper without having to export to excel first? I’m looking to set up contract and proposal templates - hoping I don’t have to add another third party download to do this. Thank you!

Chrome extension

The chrome extension has an issue on my end. Since a couple of weeks I do get this weird message while I send an email (see attached).I deinstalled the extension several times, did deinstall chrome. I am in discussion with Google Support. As the problem is located/related to the extension, I need your help.

date_modified - What is the format to use this via the API?

Our response now includes date created, date modified, last contacted, and interaction count. To get inactive days, subtract TODAY-last contacted. - Can’t find any documentation beyond this. activities search doesn't show system/Email

If i use this api:https://developer.copper.com/activities/list-activities-search.htmlwith activity_types = None, then i get a list of all activities **except** category=system, id=6 (Email).If i run it with activity_types = [ {“id”: 6, “category”: “system” } ], I get the email activities.Why? This is making sync’ing very difficult.

Hi therei want to capture certain “update person” events. question: what counts as an update on a “person” record? i.e. do changes to “interaction” count or “inactive days” also count as update? and: is it possible to capture only updates to particular fields on a person record?

Issue with SquareSpace form automation field input.

Hi there,I am having an issue with my SquareSpace lead form -- I have a zap that I have implemented that will automatically create a Copper record as a lead from the information that the potential client inputs into the form I have on SquareSpace. Suddenly, it is incorporating the field type into the name. Example:What used to be John Smith is Now “First=John, Last=Smith”. I have reached out to both Zapier (who says it is a bug on SquareSpace’s front) and SquareSpace (who seemed to dodge my question/issue entirely and just sent me the Zapier integration help guide) to no avail. Since this just happened all of a sudden, I wondered if anyone here has any experience with this and could give me some guidance on what is happening/what I might be able to do to fix it.Thank you!

Copper Thinks My Alias Is Another Person

I’m using my email alias as my primary email. I’ve set Gmail to send as my alias. However, my Copper account is set up under my primary email address. So when emails are synced, it sees my alias and thinks it’s a different person and not me and wants me to add my alias as a person/contact. How can I add my alias to my account so my alias also shows as “Copper User”?

Time zones and the API

The copper api uses Unix Epoch times (seconds snice 1970).Weird, but ok. It really should use rfc 3339 (iso 8601). But, since it doesn’t, it leads to this problem…it uses unix epoch with respect to some timezone. And this is making integration complex. If its going to be in epoch, it really needs to be in UTC.. How can i know what timezone it is with respect to now? there is no api call to figure that out. and, which sub-timezone. etc. Is this global to the copper world? to a specific customer?to an object or lead? so for example, when i ceate activity events, they end up in the future since i want to supply UTC. but if i can’t, then i need to know the DST/STD settings as well as the utc offset of the copper server.

Data import from Insightly

The instructions provided in Copper leave much to be desired. Is there a straightford method of importing Insightly data into Copper that makes sure that Notes associated with contacts and companies are not lost? Any “gotchas” that users have experienced that I would need to be aware of? Thanks! Stan

Syncing with e-mail rhythm software

Hi, first time user of this community. We filter leads and upload them into our e-mail rhythm software often and suddenly hit a glitch on Friday where we get a message on Copper that we are not logged in to the software (Persist), which we are. We have done a lot of troubleshooting and can’t resolve this problem. Any suggestions?

API broken: Search Entities on Custom Text fields

We use Integromat to build mission critical integrations with Copper.For some years now we have had a mission critical Integromat scenario which uses the Copper API to return Opportunities which have particular values in a couple of custom fields (of type ‘text’).As of ~May 1st the Copper API started returning errors for queries on custom fields (of type text) where previously these were executed successfully.
