Data entered into custom fields carrying over to other record types

Hi there

I’ve noticed that when I enter data into a field in one record type, e.g., People, it doesn't transfer over to other record types, e.g., Company. The field will show up on both but not the data entered.

Is this just a normal limitation or is there a way for this to happen?

Hi @ntoussaint, that’s correct; data from one field/record does not flow into another field/record. The product team is looking into this feature; I’ve linked the relevant Idea post below.
