Hello and welcome to the first part of our quick start guide!

In this article, we’ll focus on what Copper is and how to use it. Scroll down to start or use the links below to jump sections.

Let’s get started! Oh, and welcome to Copper! 🎉

What makes Copper different?

Copper is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, but there are a few key things that make it unique:

  1. Copper is the only CRM built for - and recommended by - Google Workspace. Plus, it has the best integration with Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs - hands down.
  2. Copper focuses on relationships. It’s designed to capture rich, contextualized communication and activity details and to provide insights into your business relationships.
  3. Copper is super easy to set up and use. Getting started is a breeze, navigating is effortless, and emails and calendar events are captured automatically - no more data entry.

Let’s explore that last point about data entry.

How does Copper reduce data entry?

One of the biggest, most consistent complaints about CRMs is the need to do data entry. Our Google integration saves you a ton of data entry by automatically:

  • Syncing emails and calendar events
  • Enriching data for companies and contacts
  • Suggesting contacts for you to add with one click

All of this happens without any configuration or setup work.

If you use our mobile app, you’ll also get:

  • Automatic sync for phone calls and SMS messages (on Android)
  • Assisted sync for phone calls and SMS messages (on iOS)

Speaking of mobile, let’s learn about the different ways you can access Copper.

Web app, Chrome extension, and mobile app

✋ Are you a new user? We strongly recommend our Chrome extension. Turn your Gmail inbox into your personal assistant. Add contacts, create follow ups and access context about your deals without having to switch to the app.

There are three ways to access Copper:

  1. Through our web app,
  2. From within Gmail and Google Calendar via our Chrome extension, and
  3. Via our mobile app (available for iOS and Android)

Go ahead - give them a try!

Each of these methods will give you access to your records. Just keep in mind that any system settings, personal preferences, and reports need to be accessed through the web app.

With our Chrome extension, Copper lives in your Gmail inbox - no more switching tabs.
