Tune into this insightful webinar with Copper CEO Dennis Fois and Google Product Manager Ramesh Nair on the future of work, hybrid culture, collaboration equity and the power of Google Workspace.
The discussion starts off with some interesting questions: where will people work from in 2022? How can businesses ensure employees are connected and collaborating no matter where they work from?
Dennis highlights some of the key challenges Copper faced when initially moving into a remote-first environment and shares his advice on building an intentional hybrid culture. One of the most interesting things he took away from the experience was:
“You have to apply very different leadership principles. Traditional leadership, especially in start-ups, rely on situational leadership — which means basically the processes aren’t that good. You rely on the people within the office, on osmosis and on situational leadership to lead to collaboration… With distributed work, that all changes. You have to be much clearer about your goals and communication.”
Dennis adds, “You have to be very thoughtful as a company about your leaders, and how your leaders engage with employees. As a leader you have to be much more proactive.”
The session then digs into how Google is adapting from a campus-centric culture to a hybrid model. Guest speaker Ramesh Nair shares Google’s focus on collaboration equity:
“We really do want to support all kinds of [workplace] mixes, that’s something we’re really working hard on. That’s the big focus of collaboration equity — no matter where you’re working from, what machine you’re working on, what timezone, we want to make sure that you’re able to collaborate at the same level as anyone in the office.”
Ramesh talks briefly about Google’s Project Starline and what the future may look like for virtual meetings.
The webinar wraps with some key tips for using Google and Copper to put hybrid productivity into action including:
Optimizing your use of Google Calendar with time insights, location settings and Copper Chrome extension
Overcoming obstacles to virtual meetings through mobile, interactive and high-quality technology
Creating collaborative digital spaces in Google Workspace and Copper
Enjoy a final Q&A at the end where Dennis and Ramesh share their thoughts on the future of work.
We hope you enjoy this webinar!
