Why are my Opportunities pink? Slipping Opportunities

Hi everyone! I often get the question of why some Opportunities cards turn pink:

That’s because of a feature called Slipping Opportunities, which highlights Opportunity cards that have been inactive for a certain amount of time.

To disable or change the threshold, click on the eye icon in the top right side of your pipeline view:

You’ll see this box where you can make your changes:

You’ll also see the settings for Top Opportunities. This adds a dollar sign icon to any Opportunities over a certain value.

I set the Top Opportunities threshold to $1 million, so the Opportunity on the right receives a $ icon.

Slipping Opportunities and Top Opportunities can help highlight areas that need a little extra attention. They’re particularly helpful for Opportunities that need constant nurturing, but I’d love to hear how your team might be using them!

Let me know in the comments if your team is using these features and if you have any questions.

Hi Michelle,

What I don’t understand is what exactly constitutes ‘activity’ for the slipping opportunities feature. We find that opportunities remain pink even when we log activity, or move the opportunity along the timeline.

Many thanks,

Chris

Hi @klstextiles, that’s a great question. Slipping opportunities is based on the number of inactive days.

So the question is, when does the inactive days counter reset? The answer is: when you log an activity that counts as an interaction.

To check which activity types count as an interaction, go to Settings > Customize > Manage Activity Types.

In this example, Phone Call, Meeting, Trial Assistance, and Campaign Sent will reset the inactive days counter. A To Do will not.

Also, if you log a Note - that does not count as an interaction and therefore will not reset the inactive days.

Hope that helps! Thanks Chris
