This is SOOOO exciting! SUCH a killer feature, and fantastic implementation! Well done team 👏👏👏

Can the email be set to send from a specific person (even if they aren't the opportunity owner?) most ideally, an via an email alias, but let's say that a stage needs to send from an individual running the production process, so it switches over from sales to production.

Guessing you could automate changing the owner of the opportunity on stage change and that'll happen before the email sends out? But also hoping to be able to hard-code the email address based on the stage, and one-day send from an email alias.

Also, one more question, can you set it up so the email ONLY sends out when moved to the stage if say certain criteria exists? e.g. opportunity MUST be in "open" status (not won/lost/abandoned) amongst other custom field settings?

When will Copper add simple checkboxes next to Contacts listed on a Company record? Most deals we work require multiple people from both parties, and there’s still no simple way to email persons X, Y, and Z without manually copying and pasting. 

 

Very simply, you turn the round initial symbol to a checkbox when hovered over, and you should be able to select the recipients who will *all be on the same email thread*. I’m quite mystified how a CRM tool in 2024 does not have this option. Please add to the wishlist!

Great questions!

Yes, you can send from a specific user

In the “Send From” dropdown you can select the dynamic option (Pipeline Record Owner) OR you can choose a specific user. We don’t currently support aliases, but as you know Copper is looking into this across the app, not just for automations. Some users have connected a generic inbox as a seat (i.e., hello@) and that would be available as an option.

No, you can’t currently add additional criteria like a certain custom field – BUT...

Only open pipeline records can enter an email automation based on a pipeline stage. And only closed pipeline records can enter an automation based on a pipeline status.

When moving the opportunity to a stage, I would like for the email automation to kick in x amount of days/weeks after moving it to the stage and not right away
