Is there a way to automatically add a “Start Date” for an opportunity as the date it was “Confirmed?” I currently have 4 stages of Opportunities, and when I get to the “Confirmed” stage, I will create triggers for tasks. I would like to add the triggers as (Start_Date, +1) (Start_Date, +10), etc. I’d love to be able to do this by not having to manually enter my start date into the opportunity. I think I have a handle on how to create the task triggers once I have the start date. Thanks in advance!Tim
I created a custom field, and am trying to clone it to a new pipeline, but I can’t. I set a custom field key for the custom field. And I just get this error: - Unsupported Variables ["travefy"] (travefy is the custom key I made) I have saved the key, it’s in the record. I deleted it and readded it, I logged out and in...appears there is no way to get it to recognize the key.
I have a custom field check box that I am trying to use to move an Opportunity from one stage to another. I have the trigger field set to “When a specific field is updated on an Opportunity”, Filter conditions set to “Any of the conditions are met”, Action set to Update, Opportunity, Field #1 Pipeline, change to, Standard, my specific pipeline name. Field #2 Stage, change to, Standard, my specific stage name. Does this level of automation not work for custom fields or am I missing the mark somewhere?
Workflow Automation Recipe help for moving opportunities to a different pipeline stage based on a custom field date
Hello everyone!I need some help creating a workflow recipe for one of our pipelines. We have a pipeline that tracks all of our current customers that have purchased software. Each customer is required to renew their annual support every 12 months so this pipeline has the following stages:Current 6 months from Expiring 90 days from Expiring 30 days from Expiring ExpiredEach opportunity also has a custom date field called Paid Date. When a customer is 180 days past the Paid Date, the opportunity should be in the 6 months from Expiring Stage (and so on with the other stages). What I want to do is create a workflow that checks the Paid Date once a day and moves the opportunity to the correct stage based on how many days it’s been since the Paid Date. So that would mean:Any Opportunity in the Pipeline where the Paid Date is less than 179 days prior to the current date would be in the Current Stage of the Pipeline Any Opportunity in the Pipeline where the Paid Date is between 180 and 269 days
Is there a way to set up the newly created Task to inherit the value one of the custom fields from the Opportunity it is related to? The filed settings includes both Opportunities and Tasks.A more specific question that I had while trying to solve this: is there a way to set up a formula on workflow automation to update this Task field with its value on the Opportunity?
We would like to see the total value of proposals we have in our proposal pipeline for “12 week bids”. I know that each stage and the pipeline itself get totaled from the Copper “Value” field. I used to enter the 12 week bid value into this field manually when I created the bids. However, recently I created CFs for bid values (different services) that are calculated off of 2 additional CFs that are used by our estimator. He puts in two different values, and then 5 additional CFs are calculated off of the 2 values he entered. I would like one of these CF values to also show in Copper’s Value field. Is there a way to copy it using a workflow automation? So it would basically be a workflow automation that copies the value result of a workflow automation….I don’t know if copper can handle that…?Copper Field: CF Workflow calculated field CF for estimator CF Workflow calculated field CF Workflow calculated field CF for estimator CF Workflow calculated field CF Workflow calculat
I’m setting up some shared email templates, and I'm wondering if there is a way to have a user based custom field that can be used as a merge tag in email templates.the use case is that we have calendar book urls per user. and want to setup shared email templates, where we have a paragraph about connecting with us by click on the link to book a meeting. We’d like to have it that that calendar link be personal to the user sending the email.does anyone know how to go about that?
I have an automated task that I’ve been using for years without issue. It trigger when an opportunity is changed to a specific stage. With one specific opportunity, the task appears as unfinished every time I complete it. I look in the completed tasks and it shows it completed every time, but a new unfinished task reopens.
So I have set up a pipeline for new opps and we work through them and eventually set one to “won”. At that point we clone and make a new card on our next pipeline to work with the client. Well today I was trying to add a contact to the new card, and it autosuggested both the old “won” card and the active card. Worse in Gmail it only showed the first words, so I can’t tell which is which. I would NEVER want to have the “won” card suggested once it’s cloned and moved. I figure I could delete these, but I rememeber there being a reason not to. I really don’t want something suggested that is not active, can I remedy this? Am I making sense? Thank you in advance
I have a bid packet that is sent to potential clients. This bid includes a variety of pricing. There are 2 values entered by our estimator, and then 5 other values that are based on those two values.I have created a cf for each of the values and tried to create a workflow automation based on one of the values entered by the estimator (I would like to do the same for each of the different prices - but just wanted to test it first). Here’s my automation: But nothing seems to be happening to the 12 Week Full/WSV field. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!Ruth
We are having a consistent issue in that we will enter specific data or make an action and somehow the action is changed. Here is an example: Recently for new client, we entered the Contract End Date as 12/30/23. When we went back, the date had changed to 12/29/23. We changed it again to 12/30/23 and again it was changed to 12/29/23. This is a real issue and it happens frequently. And specifically with any date. How do we fix/stop this from happening?
Hi all,We created a “Licensing Renewal” pipeline for our clients who must renew their business licenses once a year. We have a custom field in each of those client’s records “Renewal Date”. I’d like to set up a workflow automation to automatically move that record to a certain stage in the pipeline if the “Renewal Date” is equal to 90 days from today. The affect of this automation is that the owner of the record will receive an email informing them that the stage has change, which will be a reminder that they have 90 days to complete the renewal.
I have an automation set up to create a new opportunity when a new company is created with a certain contact type. How do I make sure that the new company is associated to the opportunity? I feel like I’ve tried every possible formula, but it won’t let me use company_id or company_name.
Hi. In my opportunities, I am trying to multiply two values: a per transaction price x a quantity of prepaid transactions, to calculate the total prepaid dollar amount of a deal. I used the commission workflow as a starting point, but I’m getting an error. The workflow formula is below: Pilot/Yr1 Annual Min Fee - change to - Use a Formula - IF(ISBLANK(prepaid_active_customer_fee), 0, (prepaid_active_customer_fee*pilot_yr1_prepaid_active_payment_customers)) When I save, I get an invalid statement error. Can anyone see what I’m missing?
Has anybody figured out a way to add tasks to projects via some sort of trigger? Our use case: different customers want to setup our product with different features enabled. Different feature-sets require different data gathering, setup and training tasks to complete. So, I would like to be able to tag a Project with the feature-set that’s going to be enabled and have it generate the relevant tasks for my team automatically based on that. Thanks!
I was hoping there would be a workflow automation I could set up so that when I create a New Opportunity in a Pipeline, this would trigger an email to others on my team so that they are in the loop without having to log into Copper. Additionally, this would be helpful when an opportunity moves between different stages of the Pipeline. Thanks!
