Did someone change a field on my task?

Is it possible to determine if a field in a task has been changed? Can I look at the task today, yesterday, or a week ago to see if something has changed over time? If so, could I tell when it was changed? Would it be possible to see who changed it?

Managing Leads & lead scores

Hello Copper Team,We are in the process of implementing lead scoring for our database and looking for best practices on how to do so. Note that when I refer to “Leads” below, I am referring to the function within Copper, whereas “leads” means “individuals who may be interested in our services.”First, we have not used the Leads function thus far, as our understanding is that it can create duplicates in People. Most of our contacts to date were added through an initial import, plus through the Gmail side bar.Now we are implementing a webform to capture and add potential leads to Copper, plus we are in the process of creating a newsletter that will be curated based on the individual’s interests.We plan to do an “opt-in” campaign with the individuals currently in our database, with the intention of getting them to sign up for the newsletter and specify their interests, plus any new website visitors will have the opportunity to sign up as well.Our questions are as follows:What is the best w

Trouble with Tasks and Opportunities

So… apparently, every task you set up for a contact automatically shows up in the Related Tasks for every Opportunity associated with that contact…!!! This is nuts. I have used different CRMs and never has this issue. I just installed Copper and found all sorts of Tasks showing up under opportunities that have no relation to that Opportunity, due to this unfortunate design flaw in Copper. Does anyone else experience this issue??? Any workaround? I really want to be able to create Tasks that can be set up as specific to an Opportunity and related to a Contact (without that task then showing up on all the Oppty associated with the contact)!!andI want to be able to create a Task for a Contact and be able to choose which, if any, of the Opportunities related to that contact it shows up under…!!!

Automation Tracking

Is there a way to track what’s been affected by automation in Copper? I have a workflow to close opportunities that have been inactive for x amount of days. Can I pull a report that would show me all opportunities that have been affected by this workflow?Or is there a way to track status changes with reports? I tried to pull a report to see all opportunities that had a status change and filter it by date. I couldn’t find anything that would work so I don’t think it exists, but I figured I would ask.

I’m unsuccessfully trying to create a workflow wherein an opportunity stage and status are automatically updated once the opportunity is in a particular stage for “X” number of days.  Not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if this isn’t an option yet.

How do you log an activity from a tabloid (IPAD)

From a phone, you can Log and Activity (like write a note) after a call.You can also send an email from the Activity section. When I jump to my IPAD- it does not work. There is no “LOG ACTIVITY” button , so I’m unable to log anything. Frustrating. Any suggestions?

Move pipeline entry to a different pipeline

Most of our sales are on a <3 month cadence.Sometimes, during the course of an opportunity, there is a redirect. The opportunity is not dead, but becomes more of a bizdev activity for some time.We are reluctant to close it as lost, since its not.But, its not a current opportunity.I would like to have a 2nd pipeline which is e.g. ‘longer-term projects’, and, move it from the current sales pipeline to that other pipeline.How may I achieve this?

Pressing enter key on keyboard deletes data fields

Pressing enter key on keyboard deletes data fields. eg if i enter a date into a date field in copper and press enter it deletes the data rather than saving the form as it always used to. This only happens in Copper. Every other site or app within Google Chrome and Edge works fine.

File type of Copper's Email Tracking Pixel?

Hello, I understand that Copper’s email tracking works by embedding an invisible tracking pixel inside of an email.  What is the file type and technical characteristics of this embedded pixel?  I ask because our company is using another system that appears to be struggling with or blocking the tracking pixel based on its file type (the error message from the other system is “file type is not allowed”).   I am working with support at the other system and they may be able to adjust their system to allow the Copper pixels if I could get them details like file type, size, encoding schemes, etc. Thanks!

What happened to the Google Sheets Add-on Report on Relationships Between Records?

Specifically - this link is missing: https://support.copper.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002177603-Google-Sheets-Add-on-Report-on-the-relationship-between-records I used the Google Sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DAaBGpZEHxCpq8RNxFn7qrjAj9NYROlpaHUFj9zzJlA/edit#gid=0 to get the emails of all the contacts of the organizations I was working with.  If I export a list of organizations from Copper, I only receive the name of the Organization. I have to them manually go into each organization and copy/paste the contact’s names and emails. This google sheet (which is now disabled and missing) used to do exactly what I needed and saved a large amount of time. Does anyone have any insight as to what happened to the sheet OR a way to export a list of organizations and all contacts and emails associated?

Transparency field does not work?

Hey guys, When I, who does not have admin rights, reset the transparency from “everyone” to “only me” or “individuals” for specific emails or clients, it does not have any effect. Whenever I do this, my colleagues can still see the contents of the email. Why is that? Best regardsSeliem

Changing default email through Copper bulk email system

I was talking with support and they mentioned I should post to this forum. Right now the way copper is set is the default from email address when using the bulk email feature is your workspace email. Now I have other emails within my workspace account that use an offsite smtp server and these are my default email settings. Now I’m not sure why there isn’t a drop down that allows me to choose the email from option within the bulk email feature but right now it forces the use of the workspace email domain for sending and from what I understand there it no way to change this. This forces the use of the google smtp servers. The other alternative which uses the gmail pop up window for sending allows me to use my other domains but there is no merge capabilities on this and it uses CC instead of BCC for sending so this is useless. The other alternatives is I tried to reroute my primary workspace email domain on the backend through the other smtp servers and that is not an easy feat. And final

Match Opportunities With People - Help Article Not Up-to-date

Hello,  I am trying to match up my Opportunities to my People using this workaround: https://support.copper.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002803763-Add-a-Copper-ID-to-the-People-record to create a merge-able set of data that I can merge and migrate elsewhere.The problem is, it is out of date. There is no “ProsperWorks ID” as indicated in Step 7.We need to move forward with our migration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best practices for handling leads

I currently have 649  “Leads,” most of which have been static for quite a while due to not being sure what to do with them.What does “convert lead” mean?Some of these “leads” are existing “People” and I don’t want to add duplicates.Does “convert lead” just update an existing record or does it add a duplicate person? Are there any tips on how users typically utilize this feature?I would like to have my SDR review the leads and work to clear them out but didn’t know about how that affects the People as described above. Additionally, we would like to assign the lead but not all of the sales team has access to the Leads section so we can’t assume them because they can’t view them, Any ideas would be appreciated!
