altering timeframe in a report

It seems the timeframe (date range) you set in a report filter supercedes the timeframes set on the individual custom insights you add to that report.

For example, I want the report to filter the next 4 quarters.

Then have one graph I add to that report to show a monthly view of the first 6 months of that period.

Then have another graph i add to show a quarterly view for the second 6 months.

this doesn’t seem possible. Any ideas?

Hi @JonMic, thanks for posting! You are correct that Dashboard filter supersedes a filter on an individual Insight. But you can adjust this so that an Insight is not affected by the Dashboard filter.

To do this, go into editing mode on your Dashboard.

Click and the Insight and open the three dots [...] > Configuration

There, you’ll see a bunch of checkboxes under “Filter by.” Each checkbox corresponds to a filter on the overall Dashboard. Un-check the ones you do not want applied to the Insight.

So in your case, you would un-check the box for Filter By: Date.

Remember to save your changes afterwards.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

Brilliant! Thank you.
