New product update - what does it mean?

This popped up when I logged on ……… The updates are usually extremely helpful ,  but im not sure in which circumstances you might use this .

Can anyone help ?

Any eligible endpoint that returns custom fields can now also return with their corresponding text values, using a new optional parameter
