Hi Copper Team,

I’m wondering about if we make a new team, are they access the same database we already have? Is there any possibilities to make a team with separate database in 1 copper account?

Hi @wigop, thanks for posting! When you add new users, they will have access to the same database by default. However, if you adjust the Team & Visibility permissions, you can block them from seeing contacts, companies, etc that are owned by another teammate. You can also completely block them from seeing certain areas of Copper. For example, you could stop everyone on your Sales team from seeing a specific Pipeline.

On top of that, you can also block individual contacts, companies, etc. by changing the visibility setting. For example, if you have a sensitive contact, you can block everybody else from seeing it.

We have more details in this article:

Ultimately, they will be in the same database but you can limit their access to certain areas. If you need them to be 100% separate forever, you might want to consider starting a separate Copper account for them.

I am curious, what is the reason you need that team to be separated?
