Project template copied from another project template

It would be very helpful to be able to create a project template from a project template so that we don’t have to add 30 tasks to a new template that is similar to a current template.  Is it possible for this to be an option?  Thank you!

Hi @MonicaG, thanks for posting! It sounds like you want to make a new template that is similar to an existing one, is that correct?

We don’t have a purpose-built feature for this but you also don’t have the start from scratch. Here’s my recommendation:

  1. Use the existing Template to create a new Project.
  2. Edit that Project and its Tasks as needed.
  3. Turn that Project into a Template using the “Create Template” button - see the screenshot below.

This way you’re using the original Template as a starting point for the new one.
