I am trying to add another field in Status to meet our business requirements - can I do this? I cant seem to find a way to ie the hover pencil is not appearing etc

That being said, does that new dropdown option have to go specifically under the Status field? Can it go under a new, separate custom field? It might not be ideal, but it is something you could implement immediately.
