I can filter on leads by create-date.
I have leads that are set to status = NEW … and have been for many months.
It seems NEW is not very meaningful.
Is there a strong reason I am missing to have a status = NEW, versus defaulting all new creates to UNQUALIFIED?
Is it possible to mask/hide a default status?

@MikeP_OutlookGardens, thanks for posting! “New” just means that your team hasn’t had a chance to categorize them yet. I can see why you might prefer to default to Unqualified or another status.
The good news is, you change change the default status!
Go to Settings > Customize > Leads > Lead Statuses. You’ll see a dropdown for “Select Default Status”

Thank you for that! I have adjusted our default to UNQUALIFIED. I am sure more questions will bubble up, but I will do my desk research first.
