Copper assigning contacts to companies based on email domains. Can I disable this?

Userlevel 1

When I receive a google voice text message. I am sent an email in the format <myphonenumber+textersphonenumber@txt.voice.google.com>. I add this as a secondary email address so that these conversations are linked to my contact in Copper. Unfortunately, Copper gets confused by <@txt.voice.google.com> and tries to assign all of my contacts to the same company. Anyway to fix this?

Hi @gregg, it sounds like you might have a Company records with “txt.voice.google.com” as the email domain. That would explain why Copper associating those contacts to that company. Can you open the Company record and check if “txt.voice.google.com” is listed as the email domain? If so, go ahead and erase the email domain information and/or replace it with the correct email domain.

Let me know if that fixes it! :)
